The time when I accidentally watched 'The Bachelor'

I accidentally watched 'The Bachelor' last night.

Went to my buddy (G-money's) house and his girlfriend had procured the remote. 15 minutes into the show, my brain was storming and pouring with ideas to improve this reality show.

If I was the producer, there would be some cosmetic changes to the way 'The Bachelor' is presented.

*Disclaimer: If you're a big fan and you think I'm insane and my ideas suck, fantastic. And, you're probably not wrong. Don't let that fire simmer, please don't vent privately, email me and tell me how wrong I am.

If I was the producer, there would be some cosmetic changes to the way 'The Bachelor' is presented.

I would start with copious amounts of edits.

Funny things happen on dates, you can't edit those geniune moments out. For example,  how the hell does he never call these women by the wrong name? The ladies are wearing name tags right? I'd keep the fumbles and all the genuine mistakes in the show, it would make for great TV.

Has the bachelor ever been a non-caucasian? This isn't a color thing, I just want to know.

Basically with all the editing they do for the show. They don't give you a very balanced view of 'The Bachelor'

Also, some of these women aren't good matches. Why don't they allow 'The Bachelor' to keep it real one time. Let him admit on camera "that woman was F____g cray!"

My final improvement would create equality and balance.  What man falls in love without his boys finding out!? None.

Where are his friends? this small addition could make the show so much better.  Include 'The Bachelor's' friends. The guys who know what kind of lady he digs, the guys that have seen him at his worst and the ones that wouldn't be afraid to say, 'Dude, you're F_____g up.'

Let him be a guy who (sometimes) talks complete nonsense, don't edit everything to create this prince charming character, who never seems to do anything wrong. There's no way this guy has chemistry with all these women and he should be allowed to say. Men can be jerks, why don't they show that side of him.

In my version of 'The Bachelor'

- His friends would be allowed to consult him all the time.

-He would be allowed some uncensored time on the camera.

- I would have a visible minority star as 'The Bachelor'

I know it would be asking a lot of reality TV to give us a balanced slice of life.
